Lea Noir by Sultan Essancy – Eau de Parfum for women
Top notes: aquatic notes and blackcurrant syrup
Heart notes: cyclamen, rose, daffodil, and jasmine sambac
Base notes: oud, patchouli, benzoin, and incense
Lea Noir by Sultan Essancy places aquatic coolness beside dark blackcurrant syrup. Cyclamen, rose, daffodil and jasmine sambac open a floral centre, while oud, patchouli, benzoin and incense surround the fruit with resinous warmth and dry smoke.
Dark berry syrup beside cool water droplets, pale flowers and smoky oud wood captures Lea Noir particularly well. The fruit is dense and deeply coloured, the aquatic side clear and cool. Beneath them sit floral silk, resin, earth and fine smoke.
Aquatic notes keep the beginning transparent. Beside them, blackcurrant syrup appears darker and sweeter without becoming heavy. That contrast between watery coolness and concentrated berry colour gives Lea Noir an unusual elegant tension from the outset.
Cool aquatics beside dark cassis
Blackcurrant has a tart fruity depth that becomes fuller and darker in syrup form. The aquatic side opens air around it. The fruit therefore stays sensual and juicy without pulling the entire fragrance into a purely sweet berry direction.
Cyclamen and daffodil add a paler, almost cool floral colour. Rose provides more velvet and jasmine sambac creamy white fullness. This floral centre connects the cold water image with later resinous warmth and gives Lea Noir greater dimension.
Jasmine sambac is the softest floral point. Beside dark cassis it takes on an almost silky quality. Daffodil and cyclamen keep the centre brighter, while rose adds warmth. The floral passage stays shimmering rather than dense.
Floral silk between water and resin
The tension between blackcurrant syrup and oud is especially sensual. Fruit is dense, juicy and slightly tart; wood dry, dark and warm. Rose and jasmine sit between them like soft fabric joining those two intense colours.
Benzoin makes the base rounder and more balsamic. Patchouli adds earth, incense dry air and oud dark woodiness. Those notes answer the sweet fruit with warmth, smoke and calmer earthy depth instead of adding more sugar.
Incense matters because it opens air between benzoin and oud. Its dry smoke prevents the resins from becoming too dense, while patchouli connects that dryness to earth. The fragrance stays dark but never becomes compact or immobile.
The strongest surfaces are cold water, berry syrup, floral silk and smoky wood. Each has a distinct temperature and density. Lea Noir lives from those differences and shapes them into a dark feminine fragrance with surprisingly clear freshness.
Oud and benzoin add dark warmth
Cassis in a deeper oriental-woody setting will find an intriguing version here. The aquatic note keeps the fruit bright enough, while oud, benzoin and incense provide dark warmth. The result remains sensual without becoming one-dimensional sweetness.
Cyclamen, daffodil, rose and jasmine sambac reveal smaller floral differences: cyclamen cool, daffodil slightly green, rose velvety and jasmine sambac creamy. Those distinctions give the centre colour and prevent the darker base from taking over too early.
Fruity, floral, sweet, woody and oriental describes Lea Noir across its full range. Fruit is dark, flowers soft, woods dry and warmth resinous. Aquatic freshness keeps all of those richer colours unexpectedly transparent.
Incense keeps the depth airy
Lea Noir has an elegant darkness. Instead of dense gourmand sweetness, it relies on cassis, resin and oud loosened by water and flowers. That meeting of cool surface and warm depth gives the fragrance a distinctive modern sensuality.
Dark blackcurrant syrup on oud wood, with cool water droplets and pale flowers above, forms the closing image. Benzoin and incense add warmth, patchouli earth. Lea Noir joins syrupy fruit, floral silk and dry smoke into a deep, clear scent picture.
