Shiriin Shabnam by Sultan Essancy – Eau de Parfum for women
Top notes: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sour cherries, blackcurrants, mandarins, oranges
Heart notes: violet, jasmine
Base notes: musk, vanilla, cashmeran, oakmoss, amber, woody notes, patchouli
Shiriin Shabnam opens like a generous basket of red and dark berries. Strawberry, raspberry and blackberry meet sour cherry and blackcurrant. Mandarin and orange throw light across the fruit, keeping the opening juicy rather than jammy. Each berry contributes a slightly different shade to the opening.
Sour cherry is especially interesting because it gives the sweetness a darker, slightly tart edge. Blackcurrant strengthens that contrast. The opening therefore has more depth than a straightforward blend of strawberry and raspberry would suggest.
A whole basket of red and dark berries
Citrus keeps the berry mixture moving. Mandarin and orange feel like bright splashes between red and purple fruit tones. Shiriin Shabnam stays lively even though the fruit is generous and unmistakable from the very beginning.
Violet lays a velvet softness over the fruit
The heart quietens the berry picture. Violet brings powdery purple softness, while jasmine adds a brighter floral accent. The fruit does not disappear; instead, it gains a smoother and slightly more elegant frame.
Violet sits naturally beside blackcurrant and blackberry because all three share a darker purple mood. Jasmine stops that section from becoming too muted. It introduces light between the fruit and the soft powdery feeling.
This never becomes a conventional floral bouquet. The flowers behave more like a veil over the berries. Shiriin Shabnam stays clearly fruity, but its centre gains extra texture and a softer, almost velvet-like surface.
Cashmeran, moss and amber add depth
The base is much fuller: musk, vanilla and cashmeran provide softness, while oakmoss, patchouli, amber and woods deepen the background. The fragrance becomes warmer and slightly earthier without losing the memory of fruit.
Vanilla rounds the berries without turning them into candy. Cashmeran strengthens the soft texture and musk smooths the edges. At the same time, moss and patchouli add enough shadow to prevent the ending from feeling overly polished.
That woody ground noticeably changes the berries. What felt fresh and juicy at first later appears darker and warmer. The memory of sour cherry and blackcurrant works surprisingly well beside patchouli, moss and amber. That deeper contrast gives the later impression a more grown-up character.
For anyone who wants fruit beyond simple candy sweetness
Shiriin Shabnam is therefore more than a typical berry scent. Fruit remains the main character, yet violet powder and a warm earthy-woody base give it adult depth. That shift is a large part of its appeal.
Anyone who loves red fruit but needs darker accents beside the sweetness will find several familiar points. Strawberry and raspberry feel friendly, sour cherry and blackcurrant add tension, while patchouli and oakmoss deepen the background.
Violet and vanilla keep the darker elements from feeling harsh. The result stays soft in character without drifting into pure cotton-candy sweetness. Shiriin Shabnam combines juicy fruit with powder, warmth and woods.
Minimal citrus fragrances and dry woody soliflores sit far away from this idea. There is deliberately more happening here: many berries, two flowers, soft musk and vanilla, then a darker base. Lovers of fullness can picture the direction clearly.
Two questions help with the choice: do you enjoy berries when they are not merely sweet? And does violet beside patchouli and moss appeal to you? If both answers are yes, Shiriin Shabnam occupies an intriguing middle ground. It makes the fragrance much easier to picture before choosing it.
The final image is juicy berries touched by sour cherry, violet-toned flowers above them, and vanilla, cashmeran and dark moss underneath. It feels colourful, soft and slightly mysterious, which is exactly where Shiriin Shabnam finds its character.
