What is the difference between a fragrance note and a fragrance family?
A fragrance family describes the overall character of a perfume, such as fresh, floral, woody or oriental. A note is one element such as rose, amber, vanilla or apple. A perfume can contain several notes and still have a very different overall impression.
Why is a perfume shown under more than one note?
Many compositions combine several notes. A perfume may therefore contain both vanilla and musk, for example. This helps you explore the facets you enjoy.
