Origins Voyage Sultan Essancy Eau de Parfum – for women and men

Top notes: lemon, cardamom, spices, juniper berries
Heart notes: tea, green notes, floral notes
Base notes: sandalwood, musk, cedar

Origins Voyage opens fresh, spicy and green at the same time. Lemon brings brightness, cardamom and spices add dry warmth, and juniper berries create an aromatic, almost cool outline. Tea, green and floral notes meet in the heart before sandalwood, musk and cedar form a calm woody base.

Origins Voyage is unisex in structure and carries a noticeable masculine tilt through juniper, cardamom and cedar, while tea and sandalwood make the fragrance softer. Origins Voyage is neither a conventional citrus scent nor a heavy woody one; its green aromatic heart connects both sides.

Lemon and juniper create clear, dry freshness

Lemon opens brightly and directly, but juniper changes the effect immediately. It brings aromatic, lightly resinous freshness that feels drier and more mature than simple citrus. Cardamom sits between those elements and connects brightness with warm spice.

The additional spices reinforce the structure without forcing one particular accent to dominate. The opening feels layered without becoming crowded. Lemon supplies light, juniper aromatic depth, and cardamom gives the whole a warm, gently exotic outline.

As lemon becomes quieter, juniper remains as a bridge toward the heart. Its green aromatic quality fits tea and green notes naturally. Origins Voyage therefore changes gradually from citrus-spicy brightness into a drier, calmer green character rather than making a sudden turn.

Tea and green notes give the heart composure

Tea occupies the centre and feels drier than an opulent flower. Green notes reinforce that clarity and bring a vegetal, lightly bitter quality. Together they create a heart that feels calm and transparent without becoming empty or forgettable.

Floral notes soften the green character. Because no specific flower is named, they do not have to build one defined bouquet. Their role is to make tea and green facets feel smoother while allowing the aromatic direction of the heart to remain intact.

This middle stage separates Origins Voyage from many fresh fragrances that jump directly from citrus to wood. Tea creates its own clearly recognisable phase, softening the sharpness of lemon while preparing the dry woody character of cedar and sandalwood.

Sandalwood and cedar create two different wood textures

Cedar provides dry, linear woodiness and connects particularly well with juniper and green notes. Sandalwood feels softer and creamier. Together they form a base that remains structured without becoming angular, while musk smooths the movement between those two poles.

Musk makes the foundation more fluid without dominating it with soapiness or powder. It acts as a bridge between dry cedar and smooth sandalwood. Origins Voyage therefore keeps its clarity but gains a calmer, slightly warmer surface in the final stage.

Sandalwood eventually takes some of the spice from the opening and translates it into softer warmth. Cedar pushes back and preserves the masculine lean. The fragrance finishes woody without becoming heavy and retains the green aromatic clarity established earlier.

Freshness for people who want more than citrus

Origins Voyage suits a taste that prefers fresh fragrances dry and structured. Lemon brings brightness, cardamom and juniper aromatic character, tea calmness, and cedar with sandalwood depth. The composition avoids both sweet fruitiness and heavy gourmand material.

The unisex positioning remains convincing because tea, lemon and sandalwood reveal softer facets. Juniper, spice and cedar give it a more masculine pull. If green aromatic profiles appeal to you, this fragrance feels fresh without relying on a purely sporty or aquatic identity.

The clear distribution of roles is especially effective. No note needs to be spectacular to matter. Lemon opens, juniper spices, tea calms, florals soften and woods ground. The development is easy to understand while still carrying a personality of its own.

Why the idea of a voyage fits the fragrance

Origins Voyage changes its landscape clearly: bright lemon and spice at the beginning, tea and greenery in the centre, then dry and creamy woods. Each stage has a different texture but remains linked to the next through aromatic relationships.

If lemon, cardamom, juniper and tea sound appealing together, this profile offers more depth than a simple citrus accord. Sandalwood, musk and cedar provide a calm foundation and make the finish feel every bit as clear and deliberate as the opening. The aromatic core stays clearly defined.
