Frequently Asked Questions
What is a perfume oil (attar)?
A perfume oil – also called attar – is a highly concentrated fragrance without alcohol. Instead of being sprayed, it is applied drop by drop directly to the skin. Thanks to its high concentration it is very economical and long-lasting.
How long does perfume oil last on the skin?
Depending on the composition and your skin type, a perfume oil typically lasts 6 to 12 hours – rich oriental oils with oud or amber often even longer. Because oil evaporates more slowly than alcohol, the scent stays closer to the skin and evolves over hours.
How do I apply perfume oil correctly?
A few drops are enough: apply the oil to your pulse points – wrists, neck, behind the ears. Do not rub it in; dab gently so the fragrance notes can unfold undisturbed.
Is alcohol-free perfume oil halal?
Our perfume oils are made without alcohol, making them suitable for anyone who prefers to avoid alcohol in perfume for religious or skincare reasons.
What does “decanted” mean for your perfume oils?
Decanted perfume oils are filled from large original containers into small bottles – usually 3 ml. This lets you try premium fragrances at a small price and find your favourite before committing to a larger size.
