Saffron and cardamom with mandarin
Darkness Extreme begins with cardamom, nutmeg and saffron. Neroli and mandarin lift the spice with a bright citrus-flower facet. The opening consequently feels warm and dry without giving up freshness altogether.
Rose, orange blossom and mastic
The heart joins rose and jasmine to orange blossom. Mastic brings a resinous nuance, while kulfi adds a creamy sweet facet. The flowers thus sit against a spiced, lightly balsamic setting rather than a simple fruit base.
Vanilla and sandalwood
Vanilla and amber extend the warmth in the base. Woody notes and sandalwood make the finish drier and calmer. Darkness Extreme works for a preference for saffron, flowers and vanilla over a spiced woody foundation.
