Oudh from start to finish

Iconic Oudh does not shy away from its name. The material appears in the top, the heart and the base, which is rarely carried through so consistently in perfumery.

The effect is a fragrance that hardly changes but deepens instead. What you smell in the first minute is at its core the same as after five hours, only warmer and softer.

Saffron in the opening

Beside the oudh stands saffron, dry and spicy, with a leathery facet. This pairing is among the oldest in oriental perfumery and still works today.

The saffron lifts the oudh and gives it a bright, sharp edge. Without it the opening would be considerably darker and harder to approach.

Rose in the heart

Rose is the second classic partner of oudh. It smells floral and green with a lightly peppery freshness and gives the middle its softness.

Iconic Oudh belongs to the cold season and the evening. Cool air carries oudh and saffron particularly well, and in heated rooms the base opens up fast.

On skin it projects very widely and stays present for many hours. That is exactly why little material is enough, particularly in closed rooms and in warmth.

It projects widely, so go sparingly. Neck and wrist are enough for most occasions.

On clothing Iconic Oudh stays particularly long and is often still noticeable the following day. Store the bottle away from light at room temperature so oudh and gurjun balsam keep their depth.
