Neroli Fiori: bergamot, mandarin, lemon and bitter orange open lively
Neroli Fiori brings bergamot, mandarins, lemons, lavender, myrtle, rosemary and bitter orange together with neroli, jasmine, orange blossom and pittosporum. Amber, ambrette and angelica warm the base. The perfume oil feels citrusy, green and floral, but never merely light.
There is plenty of movement from the opening. Bergamot, mandarin, lemon and bitter orange bring different shades of citrus, while lavender, myrtle and rosemary accompany them with herbs. Neroli Fiori therefore starts lively, lightly bitter and distinctly aromatic.
Neroli Fiori may appeal if you enjoy neroli and orange blossom but do not want a purely sweet flower fragrance. Rosemary, myrtle and bitter orange keep the bright side dry. Amber and ambrette later add warmth without hiding the herbal line.
Picture a bowl of mandarins, lemons and bitter oranges with lavender and rosemary sprigs nearby. Neroli, jasmine and orange blossom sit above. Amber, ambrette and angelica wait underneath. Neroli Fiori feels like a sunlit garden with herb-scented earth.
Lavender, myrtle, rosemary and flowers give the heart green brightness
Bergamot opens with a fine, bitter brightness. It joins mandarin and lemon well, yet stays drier than either. Beside neroli, bergamot has an elegant side that stops the beginning from becoming too sweet or too juicy.
Mandarins and lemons bring two different fruit sides. Mandarin is rounder and warmer, lemon more direct and clear. With bitter orange, they form a citrus group that carries not only freshness, but also an appealing green bitterness.
Bitter orange gives the perfume oil its most distinct bitter line. It makes mandarin less soft and keeps orange blossom in a fresh setting. Neroli Fiori stays clear this way even when the flower heart later becomes warmer and softer.
Lavender, myrtle and rosemary give the citrus notes an aromatic herbal side. Lavender is calm and dry, myrtle green and spicy, rosemary more marked. Together they create no culinary effect, but a lively meeting of leafiness and citrus peel.
Amber, ambrette and angelica lead into a soft, aromatic base
Neroli is the bright floral note at the centre. It naturally suits bitter orange and mandarin, but brings a softer, lightly honeyed warmth. With herbs nearby, neroli stays open and fresh, never turning into a very sweet orange blossom.
Jasmine and orange blossom make the heart fuller. Jasmine adds smooth warmth, orange blossom more brightness. Together with neroli, they form a flower side that stays close to the citrus notes rather than becoming a heavy white-flower perfume.
Pittosporum appears alongside the other flowers as a listed note in its own right. It sits between neroli, jasmine and orange blossom and keeps the heart varied. The citrus and herbal sides remain important, so the flowers never press too far forward.
Amber gives the base a warm, golden depth. It takes nothing from the citrus or flowers, but sets a soft counterpoint to their brightness. With amber, Neroli Fiori reaches a quieter close with a small touch of balsamic warmth.
For neroli, citrus and herbs with warm depth
Ambrette and angelica add a faintly musky, green dryness. They work beautifully with rosemary and myrtle, making the amber less glossy. The finish stays aromatic and calm instead of becoming only warm and soft.
The development leads from bergamot, mandarin, lemon and bitter orange through lavender, myrtle, rosemary, neroli, jasmine, orange blossom and pittosporum to amber, ambrette and angelica. Citrus gradually becomes more floral and warm, while every side remains connected.
Neroli Fiori may suit you if you appreciate bergamot, neroli, bitter orange and aromatic herbs. It is for women and men who enjoy a citrus-floral scent where amber and ambrette add more depth than simple soapiness would.
If dark oud, chocolate, dense vanilla, sweet berries or very smoky notes are what you seek, Neroli Fiori is unlikely to be your first choice. Its appeal lies in sunlit citrus, green herbs, neroli, flowers and a warm musky base.
