Dark Vetiver by Sultan Essancy is an alcohol-free perfume oil for men with a fresh citrus opening, a floral heart and an unusually layered vetiver base. Bergamot and lemon open bright and clear. Jasmine, rose and rockrose form the middle before vetiver, oakmoss, woods, spices and green notes make the drydown noticeably drier and earthier.

Bergamot and lemon create a clear opening

The top notes focus on bergamot and lemon. Both citrus notes bring freshness and a slightly bitter accent, creating a bright contrast with the darker base that follows.

The opening remains deliberately simple, which makes the transition into the floral middle and extensive vetiver base more distinct.

Jasmine, rose and rockrose form the floral middle

Jasmine and rose meet rockrose in the heart. Jasmine and rose add floral fullness, while rockrose contributes a warmer, lightly resinous facet.

This middle connects the fresh citrus opening with the drier base. It does not turn Dark Vetiver into a classic floral fragrance but acts as a bridge toward the greener, woodier and spicier depth that follows.

Vetiver and oakmoss dominate the base
